Trade case · Carpentry
A carpenter's evenings belong to the workshop, not to paperwork
Windows, doors, flooring, fitted wardrobes: every carpentry job runs the same chain — a survey, a quote priced to the millimetre, a supplier order whose lead time slips, then an installation to schedule. MaitreChantier holds that whole chain in one place.
Your day-to-day, point by point
The situations that eat your evenings — and what the platform does about each of them.
Today
Every quote is retyped from scratch
With MaitreChantier
Your works library holds your own fitting prices — PVC window, door set, floating floor, electric roller shutter. You insert the line, adjust the quantity, the totals follow.
Today
The VAT rate changes from one line to the next
With MaitreChantier
5.5 % on eligible energy-efficiency replacements, 10 % on ordinary renovation, 20 % on new build: each line carries its own rate and the VAT summary is broken down automatically.
Today
The supplier is three weeks late and nobody knew
With MaitreChantier
Orders are attached to the job with their expected delivery date. The ones that slip surface on the dashboard before the fitting slot is lost.
Today
You only find out months later whether the job paid off
With MaitreChantier
Sale price, material costs, labour hours: the real margin shows while the work is running, not at the accountant's.
What you gain, every week
Your fitting prices, ready to insert
A works library sorted by trade, carrying your unit price and your cost price — so a quote is priced in minutes and the margin is known before signing.
Several VAT rates on one quote
5.5, 10 and 20 % live together on the same document, with the breakdown and the legal wording generated for you.
Supplier orders tracked per job
Joinery ordered, expected date, actual delivery: late orders are flagged, so you move the fitting instead of losing the day.
Fitting days planned per crew
Assign your fitters, see the whole week at a glance and shift a job without unpicking the rest of the schedule.
Deposit on order, balance on fitting
A signed quote becomes a deposit invoice in one click, then progress invoices, then the balance — with no calculation to redo.
Usable from the van
Every screen works on a phone: check a measurement, send a quote or record an expense between two sites.
What a carpentry quote looks like
An extract from a fitting job: two VAT rates, quantities straight from the survey, margin computed as you type.
| Description | Qty | Unit price | VAT | Total excl. VAT |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PVC double-glazed window, supplied and fitted | 6 u | €680.00 | 5.5 % | €4,080.00 |
| Electric roller shutter | 4 u | €590.00 | 5.5 % | €2,360.00 |
| Interior door set | 5 u | €320.00 | 10 % | €1,600.00 |
| Floating floor, underlay included | 45 m² | €42.00 | 10 % | €1,890.00 |
| Total excl. VAT | €9,930.00 | |||
VAT breakdown, legal wording and the deposit invoice are generated from this quote.

The day the supplier slips three weeks
The joinery order is attached to the job with its expected date. The supplier announces three weeks: you shift that job and the two behind it in one action, the client gets the e-mail with the new dates, and the fitting slot of the team follows.
How it goes, from quote to payment
The survey becomes a quote
Pick your works from the library, type in the measured quantities, add a section per room. The customer gets a clean PDF the same evening.
The order goes out, the job moves
Once signed, the deposit invoice goes out and the joinery order is logged with its lead time — a delay becomes visible before it hurts.
Invoicing follows the fitting
Progress invoice after the first fitting week, balance on handover: every document is chained to the previous one.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I mix VAT rates on the same quote?
- Yes. Each line carries its own rate — 5.5 % for eligible energy-efficiency work, 10 % for ordinary renovation, 20 % otherwise — and the document shows the breakdown per rate.
- I fit for main contractors, not only for private customers.
- Clients can be private individuals or companies, and progress invoicing is built in — exactly what a main contractor expects on a long job.
- My fitting prices are mine, not a catalogue's.
- The library ships with priced works to get you started, then you edit them: your unit price, your cost price, your own references.
