Trade case · Tiling
Every square metre counts, every euro too
Screeding, floor tiles, wall tiles, skirting: a tiling quote is a stack of surfaces, and the margin lives in the details — who supplies the tiles, how much waste, how long the preparation takes. MaitreChantier prices all of it in one document.
Your day-to-day, point by point
The situations that eat your evenings — and what the platform does about each of them.
Today
Who supplies the tiles — you, or the customer?
With MaitreChantier
Supply and labour are separate lines with their own price and description: no argument on site about what was included.
Today
The screed is never in the price, but always in the day
With MaitreChantier
Self-levelling screed is a work of its own, priced per square metre: the customer sees it, and you get paid for it.
Today
The plumber runs late and your week collapses
With MaitreChantier
Move the job in the planning: the slots follow, and the rest of the week stays where it is.
Today
Waste and adhesive eat the margin quietly
With MaitreChantier
Purchases are booked against the job and compared with the invoiced amount — the drift is visible before the next quote repeats it.
What you gain, every week
Surfaces and linear metres
Floor in square metres, skirting in linear metres, screed apart: each line keeps the unit you actually sell.
Your works, ready to price
Floor tiling, wall tiles, screed, skirting: stored with your rate and your cost price, sorted by trade.
A quote that says everything
A description under each line — format, adhesive, supply — so the signed quote is also the agreement.
Your slot between the trades
Plan the days per job and shift them in one move when the trade before you runs late.
Margin per square metre
Cost price per work, purchases per job: you find out which formats and which jobs are worth quoting again.
Deposit before the delivery
Invoice a deposit on signature so the tiles are not bought out of your own pocket.
What a tiling quote looks like

Deposit on signature, balance on completion — both generated from this quote.

Who supplies the tiles?
One line for the laying, one line for the supply when it is on you, and the cost price behind each of them. The client sees what they are buying, and you see what is left for you.
How it goes, from quote to payment
Measure, then price
Surfaces on one side, linear metres on the other, preparation as its own line: the quote is complete on the first pass.
Book your slot
Put the days in the planning with the job attached, and move them when the schedule of the other trades slips.
Deposit, then balance
The deposit covers the supply, the balance closes the job — with the purchases already recorded against it.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I quote labour only when the customer supplies the tiles?
- Yes: keep two works in the library, one with supply and one without, and pick the right one per quote.
- Square metres and linear metres on the same document?
- Each line carries its own unit, so floors, walls and skirting live together on one quote.
- Can I ask for a deposit to cover the materials?
- A deposit invoice is generated from the signed quote, and its amount is deducted from the balance.
